Our team has worked to create a foundation of ECD knowledge to be used by the Cape Town Project Centre. We worked with a variety of communities and ECD organizations to gain knowledge of ECD and to make contributions along the way. Relationships were developed with Kiddies College Preschool, the informal settlement of Langrug, and the Centre for Early Childhood Development (CECD). With our partners at Kiddies College, we updated their record keeping system. With the help of the Langrug community, we upgraded various aspects at the WaSH facility, and connected with local crèches to further hygiene and health in ECD. By connecting with the CECD, we secured a commitment from them to fund the building of a crèche in an informal settlement and collaborate with the CTPC on a project next year.
