The solution to the low recycling rates and the litter on the street, is to educate people on how, when, and what to recycle. In order to accomplish this, we intend to educate people through the creation of lesson plans for elementary, middle, and high school students. By creating the lesson plans and teaching the students more about the harms of plastic litter, recycling rates in Worcester could rise and reduce the amounts of improperly disposed of trash on the streets.
