Expression studies of mig-10, a gene affecting neuronal migration in C. elegans
PublicDuring C. elegans development, a mutation in the gene mig-10 affects the migration of several neurons, as well as the outgrowth of the excretory cell process. To determine in which cells MIG-10 protein is required for proper function, the wild type mig-10 gene was expressed under the control of several different promoters in a mutant background. Partial rescue was observed for both hypodermal and ALM expression of mig-10 cDNAs, suggesting that mig-10 expression may be required ubiquitously for complete rescue.
