An Electronic Interface to Aid in Learning How to Play a Musical Instrument
PúblicoConteúdo disponível para baixar
open in viewerLearning to play an instrument requires great amounts of time, effort, and money. This project investigates the fusion of technology with traditional music education. It intends to create a hardware/software suite which will facilitate learning of the guitar. The suite is composed of a physical controller designed like a real guitar and a software game in which the user learns in an engaging and reinforcing setting. It provides a more conducive environment for learning the guitar by using a physical interface similar to a real guitar, strong visual aids, and positive reinforcement through game mechanics. The suite was evaluated using surveys and testing in order to draw a conclusion on the utility of an electronic interface and the success of this implementation.
