PANSAT power subsystem

Public

The power system for a nanosatellite was modified to increase its total efficiency, improve its reliability, and harness more power from the solar panels. This was done by selecting new components, designing snubbers, and implementing peak power tracking, respectively. Peak power tracking was employed by programming a microcontroller with code to find the duty cycle that will produce peak power at all times. Additional control circuitry was analyzed, designed, and added to increase the efficiency of the system's main converter.
