A Microfluidic Device for Three-Dimensional Angiogenesis in Response to a Growth Factor Gradient

open in viewerBiological developments show that chemical and physical gradients are prevalent and vital in cellular response. Our research focused on developing a microfluidic device with a growth factor gradient across a 3D hydrogel to study of cell response to gradients in vitro. In our study, we used endothelial cells along with a gradient of VEGF for testing. The gradient induced cellular infiltration showing that it can be used to research effects of gradients in vitro.
