The goal of our project was to develop a methodology to be used to analyze the new field of industrial service industries and their relationships. To realize this goal, we produced a standardized set of case studies, piloted interview and survey formats, and created metrics to analyze services. This resulted in the creation of eight case studies that explore different company operations across a number of key industries, and a guide for future researchers to define this aspect of business.
