Wireless differential fault sensing device for air core reactors
PublicAir core reactors, used in 3-phase power systems, may suffer catastrophic failure as a result of turn-to-turn shorts and arcing. There are currently no reliable protection schemes available for this problem. We developed a reliable wireless differential diagnostic system for detecting faults of this kind in air core reactors, which could greatly impact the power distribution industry.
