Properties, Recycling and Alternatives to PE Bags
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThe purpose of this project was to research the manufacturing of polyethylene bags, to evaluate their mechanical properties compared to biodegradable bags, and to understand the public perception of polyethylene bag use. This was done through surveys, mechanical testing and field interviews. Polyethylene bags have become a global concern, and many countries have implemented policies to address this issue. It was concluded that polyethylene bags will keep being used due to their exceptional mechanical properties and relatively inexpensive production cost. -
