Water management in a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell

公开

Water management in PEMFC's was studied by developing relationships between cell relative humidity, membrane conductivity, and the parameter of water transfer. This was done by varying the relative humidity of Hydrogen and Air entering the fuel cell. The experimental potential data was fit to a model previously developed by Tony Thampan by varying the Tafel constant, exchange current density, internal current density, and limiting current density. Research was done in cooperation with the LSGC at ENSIC in Nancy, France.
