Phased array antenna as a prototype for LOFAR project

Simulation, design and construction of a small size, receiving, dual polarized phased array antenna as a prototype for Low Frequency Array project. Antenna performance was evaluated using MATLAB based electromagnetic solver. Design enabled computer controlled beam forming and steering. Power of the received signal was evaluated as a function of beam position and made available to the computer interface. A MATLAB interface was developed for two-dimensional scanning.
