Measurement of nonlinear loudspeaker parameters

Public

In the audio industry, the electro-acoustic parameters of loudspeaker drivers are measured for purposes of system design and for quality control. The standard test uses a small signal so that the driver is evaluated within its linear range. For a large signal, the range over which they are used in practice, the driver becomes non-linear. In cooperation with Eastern Acoustic Works, this project designed and built an apparatus which enables the measurement of large-signal non-linear behavior of loudspeaker drivers.
