Best Practices for Adapting Manufacturing Documentation
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThis study compiled a set of best practices for adapting documentation through interviews with professionals in the manufacturing industry. It illustrated how many companies across the United States structure their documentation adaptation process, the common strengths and challenges they face, and the influence of federal regulations on their decisions. Best practices related to knowledge management, quality control, distribution, and technical writing were then applied to the adaptation of a Matisse operation manual chapter into an SSOP for use at a Frito-Lay manufacturing plant.
