Braille music transcription software at Instituttet for Blinde Og Svagsynede
PublicContenu téléchargeable
open in viewerThe need for Braille music is high among blind music students, but access is limited due to the time and cost of transcription. Recent advances in computer technology have made Braille music much more accessible through automated transcription software. To assess the software, trials were completed with blind and low vision users at Instituttet for Blinde og Svagsynede (IBS) in Copenhagen. A final recommendation was made to IBS as to how such software may best benefit the blind or low vision students through integration into their curriculum. Both the curriculum of the sponsor and needs of the individual were considered.
