Construction of a GPS pseudolite

This report discusses the design, construction and testing of a Global Positioning System (GPS) Pseudolite for the Systems and Analysis Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. The GPS Course/Acquisition pseudorandom codes (Gold Codes) are examined and implemented using a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) based approach. The RF carrier signal is implemented using a Phased Locked Loop (PLL), and is Bi-Phase Shift Keyed (BPSK) modulated using commercial off the shelf (COTS) parts.
