Our project focused on helping Loma Linda, Guatemala, a community that emphasizes sustainable development and generates most of their income through a coffee cooperative. However, a recent coffee leaf rust epidemic blighted a majority of their coffee plants. The goal of this project was to develop a sustainable decision making tool to help farmers select an appropriate solution(s) to coffee leaf rust and prevent future outbreaks. We constructed a guide for evaluation of mitigation techniques in order to take sustainable action.
