PublicAlong the Mississippi River, the heavy usage of nitrogen fertilizer is causing eutrophication, leading to the formation of a Dead Zone in the Gulf of Mexico [IX]. This Dead Zone is uninhabitable to all marine life, harming the environment and the local economy.
