Axiomatic design and manufacture of a Stirling engine

Public

This MQP was designed to provide a product to be manufactured by students as part of the curriculum for completing the WPI course ME 1800. The Stirling engine that has been designed for this purpose is a suitable product because it will provide the manufacturer with experience in CNC milling and lathing, drilling, boring, grinding, and tapping - all processes that every engineer involved in the manufacturing field should be familiar with. The axiomatic principles use for this design ensure reliability.

  • This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement. WPI routinely publishes these reports on its website without editorial or peer review.
