A Heterogeneous universal localization system using RSS

Public

The objective of this project is to use the received signal strength (RSS) from devices using various technologies to design a heterogeneous localization system. We describe architecture, with three scenarios, for a system which uses several wireless communication technologies to locate a person everywhere. We use RSS from ZigBee sensors in a room, WiFi in a building, and a GSM cellular network outdoors. For each scenario we collect a database and use it to design algorithms and evaluate performance.
