Adding Red Hat Enterprise Linux Support to NVIDIA's DRIVE OS
Public DepositedDownloadable Content
open in viewerThe current state-of-the-art workflow for NVIDIA’s DRIVE OS was built for Ubuntu, a Debian-based system. The NVIDIA DRIVE OS team is exploring the possibility of adding support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) to their product. After inspection, we identified three main technological challenges to add RHEL support: 1) building RHEL-based images using the existing build chain, 2) converting Debian packages to Red Hat packages, and 3) verifying that the RHEL-based OS is functioning properly. We designed change plans and implemented leverageable skeleton foundations for each of the three challenges, providing a foundation for RHEL integration.
