Promoting Renewable Energy Use Through Community-Based Education
PublicContenu téléchargeable
open in viewerThe goal of this project was to provide recommendations to the Population and Community Development Association (PDA) in Mae Mo to develop a learning center about renewable energy and its applications. Communities of Mae Mo currently rely on conventional sources of energy to meet their needs. There is a gap in knowledge about the costs of conventional energy and benefits of renewable energy technologies. Using a community-based approach, we have developed recommendations to PDA regarding the development of a learning center to educate communities on using renewable energy to reduce their dependence on energy derived from fossil fuels.
