As new methods of DNA typing are developed, and the power of DNA testing is increased, the use of DNA as physical evidence in the courtroom is becoming more and more common. As the use of DNA as physical evidence increases, the need of a quality DNA analysis program becomes more crucial. Sound procedures for the collection, preservation, and analysis of DNA are an integral part of any DNA analysis program and must be fulfilled in order to provide the courtroom with reliable evidence.
