Analyzing the Implementation of the Massachusetts Green Communities Act of 2008

open in viewerIn 2008 Governor Deval Patrick signed one of the nation's most comprehensive energy reform acts, the Massachusetts Green Communities Act. Through case studies this project analyzed the current status of that legislation. Our communication with officials from Worcester, Lancaster, Gardner and Sterling helped determine how some communities have achieved designation as a Green Community, and others have not. This report is intended to help municipalities seeking designation as a Green Community.
