Design Patterns in Video Game Programming

open in viewerWe built a game, Reversi++, to identify the advantages and disadvantages of using Object-Oriented Design Patterns in a video game environment. We evaluated the patterns’ usefulness when designing the game. With the end result we demonstrated that the design patterns are great tools to create a video game because its design is flexible for revisions as it is being built.
