Enhanced Ackermann Steering Platform

open in viewerThis project examines the capabilities of the Enhanced Ackermann Steering system in comparison to other driveline systems. The Ackermann Steering system, often found in cars, was enhanced, enabling our robot chassis to make zero radius turns. The chassis uses an innovative cam-pulley system that allows for the maneuverability of skid steering without the energy loss due to friction. This driveline system was integrated into a robot chassis that would meet the FIRST Robotics Competition requirements.
