Our team improved the situational awareness of first responders by providing a set of recommendations to address a lack of essential communication between public safety agencies identified by the New Mexico Department of Information Technology. We recommended processes to be used by traffic managers and dispatchers to both share essential data and make their jobs easier. This situational awareness and efficiency will improve the life-saving operations these agencies conduct every day.
