Class-D audio amplifier
PublicThis MQP involved the design, construction, and testing of an Ultra-Efficient, High-Powered, Class D audio amplifier. The main goal was to achieve 95% efficiency using the 42 Volt PowerNet Standard. The signal processing stage was completed using a three-level Sigma-Delta Modulation scheme which powered a MOSFET H-Bridge configuration. Testing confirmed that the goal of 95% efficiency was met, and an RMS power of 400 Watts was produced using a 42 Volt supply.
