Transgenic Animals

open in viewerIn this project, research was conducted on the topic of transgenic animals in an effort to examine this technology and its role in society. Each chapter focused on a different aspect of the technology, including describing how they are made (transgenesis), investigating how they are used, and discussing the ethics of whether such animals should be made. After examining these facets of this interesting technology, conclusions were made by the authors concerning which types of experiments should be continued, and what types of oversight should be enforced to ensure animal welfare.
