The effect of carbon content on the properties and processing of F-75 for cast orthopedic implants

Öffentlich

This project is concerned with the properties and processing of ASTM F-75 for cast orthopedic implants. The focus is a comparison of two different carbon contents used for this alloy. Using microstructural analysis and surface finish analysis; the properties of this alloy with the different carbon contents were analyzed. The experimental design aspect that played a key role in completion of this project was the materials selection process. This includes the reasons why F-75 is the alloy used for this application and which carbon concentration is the best choice.
