The Case for software reuse
PublicEffective reuse of previously written code or data has long been a goal of many Computer Science professionals. Conceptually it makes good sense to purchase existing software rather than build it anew, but trying to encourage this practice is quite often riddled with difficulties or is simply not cost effective. This paper will look at the benefits and challenges that professionals face when trying to decide whether or not it is advantageous to deploy a reuse methodology.
