The goal of this project was to facilitate a community-driven design and planning process for a community hall in K2, an informal settlement in Khayelitsha, a township in Cape Town. This was a first step in empowering community members to actively participate in the upgrading process. The team participated in a partnership between community members, CORC and ISN and prepared a K2 hall proposal and a workbook to aid future upgrading projects.
