Since 1999, Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s (WPI) Assistive Technology Resource Center (ATRC) has produced assistive technology devices and disseminated related information. This project continued the organizational efforts of the previous five ATRC management IQP teams and was divided into two areas: outreach and operations management. For the outreach component, the team improved the Center’s communication with organizations outside of WPI by redesigning the website, publishing newsletters, creating videos, and compiling project and contact databases. The operations management component improved the Rehabilitation Engineering Laboratory’s policies by creating a standard operating procedure document for future teams and updating laboratory signage.
