This project consists of the design of a 577 car parking structure to be located in the southern end of the George C. Gordon Library Parking Lot on the WPI campus in Worcester, Massachusetts. Potential design systems and the construction materials used in the erection of parking garages were examined, and the most suitable candidate was selected for a detailed structural and geotechnical design relating to the superstructure and foundation. Finally, a preliminary cost estimate was performed to complement the technical design activities.
