Transmitting Information Across Time
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThis report explores strategies for transmitting information across generational spans of time. Methods investigated by the project team include time capsules, tradition, rituals and literature, together with mechanical and electronic solutions. By studying historical precedents and human behavior patterns, we identified both problems to be overcome, and opportunities for increasing the likelihood that information consigned to the future will be received as intended.
- This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement. WPI routinely publishes these reports on its website without editorial or peer review.
