The Project 25 standard is widely used in public safety radio systems in North America. One problem these systems face is the presence of interference on licensed spectrum bands. The intermodulation products of a device causing possible interference are analyzed and a mathematical characterization model is developed. A node-based sensor network to detect and localize interference on P25 radio systems is then proposed.
