Advanced Fire-Resistant Cementitious Material
Público DepositedContenido Descargable
open in viewerSprayed Fire-Resistant Materials (SFRMs) are usually a cement-based material. Since cement is an inherently brittle material, cracks which can expose the steel underneath the substrate can negatively affect the performance of the material during a fire. This study looks at creating an advanced flexible fire-resistant cementitious material by adding fibers to a fire-resistant cementitious composite to improve the flexural properties in the material, limit the extent of cracking, and improve the ductility of the material.
