Every day, data is analyzed and represented as graphs. We see data representation in newspapers, on TV, and in journal articles. The ability to understand the visualization of data becomes increasingly pertinent as more of our decisions rely on our comprehension of data. Development of visualization literacy will therefore improve the ability to make educated decisions. This paper overviews an application built to explore the role of feedback in training visualization literacy. The researchers conducted three experiments to improve the existing application and a control experiment to support the findings, with the latter acting as a baseline of improvement. The results show evidence that the feedback from the app has a positive effect on comprehension of data visualizations.
