The urban planning designs implemented at the Boston Waterfront revitalized the neighborhood and generated a series of new developments. This project performed a LEED Neighborhood Connectivity analysis, quantify recreational areas, and measured economic outcomes of the Boston Waterfront and Assembly Square, Somerville for comparisons. While Boston outperformed in connectivity, recreational area, and most economic outcomes, Assembly Square achieved remarkable yearly economic growth.
