This project focuses on the concept of having numerous sensors to detect the environment instead of a single sensor such as a pitot tube, which is often used on standard aircraft. By using their feathers, birds have the ability to sense the airflow over their entire wing. This is why they are capable of more stable, yet complex flight patterns. This biologically inspired sensor is designed, constructed, and tested to be utilized on a robotic aircraft platform."; "Worcester Polytechnic Institute"; "2013-04-25"; "2013"; "2020-01-17T01:52:32.343931198-05:00"^^; "E-project-042513-123654"; ; "Major Qualifying Project"; "Robotics Engineering", "Aerospace Engineering"; ; ; "http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"; ; ; "This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement.
