Photon Emission Analysis of a 16nm SoC

Public Deposited

Photon emission and laser scanning microscopy via the backside of integrated circuits (ICs) have proven to be an effective method of localizing programmable logic (PL) areas, mapping IC layouts, and reading out data from logic cells. The aim of this work is to attempt logic localization and IC mapping on a Xilinx Ultrascale+ MPSoC (Multi-Processor System-On-Chip) platform using a PHEMOS-X emission microscope.
