The brain is a largely misunderstood part of the human body that is difficult to study due to its many complexities. Cerebrospinal fluid, or CSF, that surrounds the central nervous system plays crucial roles in the functioning of the brain. Over or under production of the CSF can lead to detrimental consequences. In this study, a model of the CSF in the spinal column and brain was created to show the pressure changes at different positions of the body. The proposed model aims to provide more insight into a widely elusive topic for research and to expand upon knowledge of cerebrospinal fluid. Hopefully, in the future, this information of the spinal column pressure gradient can be used in the development of external ventricular device designs.
