In recent years biodiesel has become a more feasible and attractive alternative to traditional fossil based fuels. Accordingly new methods of production and sources of biomass are being explored. This project applies microwave heating technology to transesterification and pyrolysis of Jatropha Curcas, as well as examines the current state of the art of biodiesel production. This project then attempts to make recommendations based on what would be plausible in Haiti, a natural home to Jatropha Curcas.
