The Beecology Project is dedicated to tracking pollinator populations through the use of web tools that allow citizen scientists to collect and analyze bee and butterfly data. This MQP revamped the interface of the web application to support mobile, tablet, and desktop devices through a rigorous prototyping process. The previous version (version 5) of the web application resembled a mobile phone on all devices. Our new version (version 6) implements a new navigation menu to improve the user experience on widescreen devices. Additionally, this upgrade allows easier identification of pollinators, further supporting Beecology’s mission. Altogether, the new interface greatly improves the user experience by enhancing the layout and making navigation easier for users.
