Continuous improvement -- manufacturing process control of F-100 turbine vanes

Public

This project is the implementation of a manufacturing solution for Pratt & Whitney. This business unit controls the variation in the manufacturing process. This project involves an examination of the turbine vane flow area, and to adjust the stage of the manufacturing process that effects the flow area. This is accomplished through examining the various stages in the process and reactively implementing a new design to process. The process will then be re-examined to confirm effectiveness of the solution. This project is a follow up and a continuation to a project previously completed with Pratt & Whitney. The previous project title is Eliminating process variability In a CMM system by Ford and Zuendoki.
