An Entrepreneurial Initiative for Distributing Energy Efficient Products in Low Income Communities
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThis project developed an entrepreneurial initiative to help community members sell energy efficient products in low income communities, thereby expanding access to healthy, sustainable energy products while increasing livelihood opportunities. Our team collaborated with the City of Cape Town to assess potential distribution methods and developed a business model with preschool "crèches" as the key distribution location. We developed business start-up resources in an entrepreneurial support packet and evaluated the entire entrepreneurial initiative through pilot programs at two crèches.
