This project focused on the planning and structural design of an addition to the Worcester Public Library. The structural layout builds upon the analysis of how a library functions and the local community's needs. The structural design included the steel frame, typical steel member connections and column footings. Technical specifications were written to describe the quality of materials and workmanship for the steel and concrete work. A cost estimate was performed for the reinforced concrete and structural steel elements.
