open in viewerThis report has been prepared for the Danish Association of the Blind, who together with their sister organizations, the Danish Institute for the Blind and the Visually Impaired Knowledge Center, began to investigate radio frequency identification (RFID) as a form of aid for the blind. This study explores the current ability and potential uses for this emerging technology. RFID has the potential to be a useful aid with further standardization of RFID tags and improvement of current RFID readers.
