open in viewerRecent studies suggest that human psychology and cognition can be affected by the habitual elements and built environment of a space, specifically the color, light, sound, shape, and space of a room. These factors can affect the perception of information within the brain and therefore influence behaviors such as productivity and attentiveness. In this project, we studied the impact of color on the human perspective and looked at how it can best be implemented in an academic space on the Worcester Polytechnic Institute campus. In conjunction with our findings, we designed a structure that will provide a space for students and faculty to work on projects and other related coursework.
