In this project, sponsored by the City of Worcester and the Center City Development (CCDC), we explored the means by which utilization of the Commons at Worcester might be significantly increased, and constructed a realistic 12-month calendar of activities to be held at the Commons. Usage patterns for downtown parks in nearby cities were obtained, as was information from community organizations relative to the event coordination, infrastructure needs, and familiarity with the Commons. This was used to complete the calendar and recommend some infrastructure changes for the Commons.
