Redesign of a cable cross-over machine

Public

A cable cross-over machine is redesigned and modeled through the use of parametric computer aided design software (Pro Engineer). The design is analyzed, revised, and finally accepted. The approve design is manufactured at the WPI Washburn Shops. The finished machine is safety tested, and sold to the WPI fitness center, where it is in use today. The cable cross-over machine is stronger, more rigid, and smoother than current machines available. The strength and smooth operation raise a user's confidence in the machine, thereby increasing its effectiveness.
